I have spent my career to date studying and working to increase my knowledge in the field of animal ecology and conservation biology. During my studies I’ve mainly concentrated on bat ecology, with a focus on bats in agroecosystems and ecosystem services, recently completing my Master’s thesis on a “comparison of bat activity between conventional and organic agriculture”.

Currently, my research focuses on investigating the relationships between artificial lighting in tunnels and the bat colonies that exploit these habitats. The main purpose of my research is to find a lighting strategy that will allow the continued use of tunnels by both humans and bats while maximising conservation and safety standards.
